Report: Patriots agree to 1-year deal with former NFL MVP Cam Newton

Former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to reports from ESPN.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Newton signed an ‘incentive-laden deal’ for one year with the team.

The Panthers released Newton in March, shortly after Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
