Heads up, drivers.
You won’t be able to drive west on the 60 Freeway from Beaumont to Moreno Valley through the Badlands for the next three nights, starting Wednesday, Oct. 16.
And it may be difficult traveling east through the Badlands.
The Riverside County Transportation Commission, which is building truck lanes in the Badlands, announced in a news release that both westbound lanes will be shut Wednesday, Oct. 16, Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18, at 9 p.m.. Lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. the following mornings.
At the same time, one of the 60 Freeway’s two eastbound lanes is set to close.
The closures, between the 10 Freeway in Beaumont and Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley, are intended to allow crews to remove dirt and pave the median, the release states.
Drivers are urged to take the 10 Freeway to get around the area.
