Temperatures warm back up, but in comes the rain

We’ve only got one more day of bitter-cold temperatures before we start to see our next spring-like warm-up. However, it does come with some wet weather.

Overnight into your Monday morning will be frigid. Make sure you bundle up before you head out the door in the morning! Lows will again get down to the single digits and the teens. It’ll feel even colder than that.

Even with mostly sunny skies, temperatures won’t budge much Monday. Highs will only reach the upper 20s and low 30s. The good news is we lose the wind so we won’t have wind chills only in the teens like we did Sunday. There’s a chance for a spot snow shower on the Cape.

It will be breezy Tuesday, but we’ve got a major warm-up to the mid to upper 40s. It’ll still be dry, but there will be just a couple more clouds around.

Wednesday it’ll really feel like spring! Highs will warm even further into the low to mid 50s. That does come with some rain and wind, though, especially toward the second half of the day. Have your raincoat ready!

Thursday will be even warmer in the upper 50s with more chances for some scattered showers. It’ll be breezy, but not as windy as Wednesday.

Friday is when we’ll see temperatures rebounding back down. Highs will drop to the upper 30s and low 40s. Skies will be bright, but breezy conditions will make it feel even cooler. Next weekend we’re watching for some chances for rain and snow.

Looking longer-term, into mid March, we’re looking at likely warmer-than-average temperatures.

(CNN) — One Virginia family received the keys to their new  3D-printed home  in time for Christmas. The home is Habitat for Humanity’s first 3D-printed home in the nation,  according to a Habitat news release. Janet V. Green, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, told CNN it partnered with Alquist, a 3D printing company, earlier this year to begin the process. The 1,200-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two full baths and was built from concrete. The technology allowed the home to be built in just 12 hours, which saves about four weeks of construction time for a typical home. April Stringfield purchased the home through the  Habitat Homebuyer Program . Lawsuit: High school football player says coaches forced him to eat pizza as punishment, violating religious beliefs

CANTON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio high school football player who says coaches forced him to eat a pizza covered with pepperoni grease in violation of his religious beliefs is suing his former district and the ousted coaches. The former Canton McKinley High School athlete and his parents filed a federal civil rights suit this week seeking millions of dollars in damages and alleging violations of his religious freedom and constitutional rights. The athlete says in the lawsuit that coaches were notified he doesn’t eat pork or pork residue as a member of the Hebrew Israelite religious faith, but that they ordered him to eat the pizza as punishment for missing an offseason workout — and indicated his spot on the team was at risk if he didn’t. The coaches say the player chose to remove pepperoni and eat the pizza rather than an alternative food. With a series of court victories that bring the end to serious legal crises, with a Broadway show beginning and a Cirque du Soleil show returning after a long pandemic pause, the Jackson business is on the upswing 12 years after the pop superstar’s death.
