Police seek help identifying child found wandering alone in Quincy

Police are turning to the public for help identifying a young girl who was found wandering alone in Quincy on Friday morning as they work to track down her parents.

The girl, who is about 4 years of age and speaks Portuguese, was found in the area of Atherton and South streets around 11 a.m., according to the Quincy Police Department.

She was said to be wearing a pink jacket and had a backpack with snacks in it.

“She is currently safe and appears to be healthy. We are trying to locate a parent or family member,” police said in a Facebook post.

Police added that they believe the girl’s name is Kiera.
