Authorities are turning to the public for help as they continue to search a park in the Berkshires for a New York woman who has been missing since Sunday. Massachusetts State Police and the Lee Police Department are searching in the area of Longcope Park for 42-year-old Meghan A. Marohn, according to a state police spokesman. Marohn’s black 2017 Subaru Impreza was found parked on Church Street near the heavily-wooded park. Emergency response team members, K9 teams, and a state police helicopter have been assisting local police in the search for Marohn. Marohn is said to be 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 120 pounds, with red hair and green eyes. (CNN) — A top Russian general gave some of the most detailed public remarks to date on  Russia’s military strategy  in Ukraine, claiming on Friday that the “first stage” of Russia’s military plan is now complete, with their primary focus now centered on eastern Ukraine. “In general, the main tasks of the first stage of the operation have been completed,” Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy, first deputy chief of Russia’s General Staff, said in a Friday briefing. “The combat potential of the armed forces of Ukraine has been significantly reduced, allowing us, I emphasize again, to focus the main efforts on achieving the main goal – the liberation of Donbas.” Rudskoy’s remarks come as Russia’s advances appear to have stalled around major Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv and Kharkiv. LVIV, Ukraine (AP) — Several rockets struck the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on Saturday while  President Joe Biden was visiting the capital of Poland , whose border is just 45 miles away. The powerful explosions frightened a city that had been a haven for hundreds of thousands of people fleeing the Russian assault on other parts of Ukraine. Thick black smoke rose from the first blast site on the city’s northeastern outskirts for hours before a second set of explosions were reported. The regional governor, Maxym Kozytsky, said on Facebook that preliminary indications were five people were injured in the first attack but did not specify what the two rockets hit. Hours later, he reported three more explosions outside the city, again with no details. A seventh-grade student at a school in Cambridge died Wednesday following a boating accident in Aruba, officials announced. Cassidy Murray had been on vacation with her family when the fatal accident happened, Jennifer Price, Head of Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, wrote in a letter to the community. “Her ever-present smile, infectious laugh, and upbeat personality knit together any group she was a part of,” Price continued. “Classmates gravitated to her because of her genuine kindness and quiet modesty. Her friends knew from the very first week of school that she would be a trusted, warm confidant with a great sense of fun and camaraderie.” Cassidy played hockey for Buckingham Browne & Nichols School.
